The Clean and Cool Kitchen and Bath
We loved working with this client to achieve a very custom look and design. His love of cooking, collecting fine wines, and enjoying his amazing Lake Washington view inspired us to maximize every square inch of this Kirkland condo.
We opened up the wall separating the family room from the dining room to give him more prep space and also created a cool, cozy lounge area for entertaining, wine tasting or hanging out with his young son. We painted the fireplace a darker color to add depth to the family room. Crisp, clean lines with pops of color for contrast, gave this space just the right amount of zest and balance.
The Master Bath had a very distinctive look and feel, which varied greatly from our client’s design style, especially after just recently remodeling his kitchen. The existing space had challenges with storage, closet space and its floor plan, so we redesigned the bathroom to meet his needs, both in function and taste.
We installed heated tile floors throughout the bathroom and closet and tiled the walls to make the space feel larger. The walk-in shower with custom linear drain offered a seamless and open feeling. We opened up the wall between the tub and shower to expand the closet area, customizing it to our client’s wardrobe. Soffits with recessed can lighting were designed to create the same ambiance as the kitchen and create a sleek and clean appearance. A Native Trails concrete trough sink with beautifully designed Axor plumbing fixtures highlight the space as they are well crafted, modern and give a clean, contemporary feel. The stained, glass-paneled barn door polishes off the entryway to the space, with a great level of detail.
